On Saturday, July 7, at 5 p.m., at Eagle Fun Days, members of the Boise Fire Department will be taking part in the TIP Tow Firetruck Pull Challenge. This event is pulling a fire engine for speed not distance, so the quickest team wins. Boise Police Department, Meridian Police Department, Ada County Sheriff’s Office, the Ada County Coroner’s Office and Probation and Parole are also participating. The pull will take place near the corner of the corner of Steirman and E. State Street in Eagle.
This is a fundraiser for the Trauma Intervention Program of Treasure Valley (TIP), all donations will stay in the Treasure Valley. The purpose of TIP Treasure Valley is to provide immediate emotional and practical support to survivors of tragedy. Local residents are trained to be TIP Volunteers, and as TIP Volunteers they respond on a 24/7/365-day basis to requests for assistance from police officers, firefighters, paramedics, deputy coroners and hospital personnel.
