Boise Fire is hosting a Joint Wildland Refresher Training class May 15-18. Agencies involved in the event include: BLM, Eagle Fire, Kuna Fire, Meridian Fire and Star Fire.
The focus of the training will include communication and cooperation between Mutual Aid Resources, fire suppression tactics and use of the Incident Command System. The last hour of training will be a hands on drill designed to coordinate multiple resources while engaged in a rapidly spreading wildfire in the Boise Front.
The course will be taught by Boise Fire personnel and assisted by the other departments. The training site is near the Ada County Landfill, please see attached map for directions to the site.
