About the Boise Fire Stairclimb Team: The team climbs to support the LLS every year in full gear at Seattle’s Columbia Center. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has helped double, triple or even quadruple survival rates for some forms of blood cancer. Yet more needs to be done. Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and every nine minutes someone dies. Boise Fire has a team of approximately 30 firefighters participate each year. The fundraising goal this year is $40,000. The total raised by Boise Fire over the last ten years is more than $406,000.
