Boise, Sept. 7, 2010 - Pipes and drums, honor guards, skydivers and doves will help open the Never Forget golf tournament this Saturday. The tournament is a benefit fund raiser for the Idaho Fallen Firefighter Foundation and the Idaho Fraternal Order of Police.
"The hope is that this golf tournament and the activities surrounding it are one way our entire community remembers and honors those lost on September 11th nine years ago," said Boise Firefighters Kevin Gould, one of the tournament organizers.
"The ceremonial start to this event features activities unique to the traditions of police and fire departments. We hope it celebrates the service, as well as honors the sacrifice of those who responded for the final time on 9-11." said Gould.
