Fire Safe House

Boise Fire Department's Safe House

Safehouse talk

The Fire Safe House is a mobile unit which travels to sites such as public schools, kid's fairs, parades and other public events. Fire Prevention members visit second grade children at Boise elementary schools every year starting in March. During the visits, Fire Prevention Captains are available to answer questions.

Children are educated about fire safety by watching a video, followed by hands-on teaching about smoke inhalation and smoke alarms. Other topics discussed are the dangers of matches and lighters and how to escape if a fire starts in the home.

For more information, contact Captain Roy Boehm at (208) 570-6572 of the Boise Fire Prevention Division.
